Tall Fescue

(FESTUCA ARUNDINACEA)

Vigorously growing perennial species, endowed with a deep root system and broad and basically fibrous leaves that allow a long persistence, a marked hardiness, with a remarkable tolerance to summer drought (the most resistant among the microthermal fodder grasses).

Cutting must be carried out at the beginning of earing in order not to compromise the quality and palatability of the forage.

Autumn sowing is recommended for pure lawns (between the end of August and the end of September).

Spring sowing can be done in the case of intercropping with legumes and must be done by the end of March.
